Not a ton in the way of news or new adventures to report this month. The heat is definitely building as midday temps are routinely in the high 90s...we hear the hottest time of the year is still a few weeks away...should be interesting to say the least.
We are looking forward to visitors, in-country travel, and Angie's sabbatical in April so we will have a lot more to share soon. In the meantime, here's a look at what we've been up to.
Owen continues to love his school! Some highlights:
2nd Grade school sleepover!
Owen's class music assembly (the majority of songs were originals written by the kiddos)
Annual international celebration where students and parents went all out with costumes, performances, and food to represent their home countries. It was very cool to see the variety and diversity of cultures that make up the school community.
Owen's class just finished a unit on reduce/reuse/recycle. Pics below are when the kids unveiled all of the videos they produced on the subject.
Art field trip
When not getting his learn on at school Owen seems to always be on the go with a group of his friends, continues to be a lot of fun to watch him build these great friendships
I continue to volunteer at some local charity schools and it has become one of the highlights of my time here. Even through the language barrier you can tell some of these kids are whip-smart, all they need is a chance to show it!
Some more miscellaneous pics:
We've had to get creative with streaming strategies and sleep schedules to watch our share of March Madness but we just can't miss some of these games!
Ms Thuy teaching Owen how to pull his own weight around here
Soccer Star
We weren't aware that Nike has entered the restaurant business, the sign for this "3 Crabs" location has a familiar feel.
until next time...
