Hello friends and family,

Last night Ang and I met with our new landlord (very nice man) and we are excited to be able to move into our villa in a couple of weeks.  It is located in the Villa Riviera neighborhood, District 2 (An Phu), section of the city and just a stones throw from Owen's new school.

I've included some pics below.  There is cleaning, floor refurbishing, some general maintenance, and of course furnishing to be done so keep that in mind as you browse. We love the home and the neighborhood will be a great place for Owen to ride his bike, swim, shoot hoops, etc.

We will have plenty of room so come see us!

Hello from HCMC!

On Saturday we experienced our first weekend BBQ...Vietnam expat style. Great home, great host family, great new people to meet, and crazy-good food! Some pics below.

Angie officially started her job this morning, not gonna lie, it was a bit sad to see her walk out of the door...Owen and I are going to miss her!

Owen has two weeks left of summer and once we get him going in his routine I'll start looking for a job myself, looking forward to that!

Vietopia!

Disneyland might be known as the "Happiest Place on Earth," and I would be the last one to disparage the mouse, but I gotta tell you, today in Vietnam the Morris clan visited a place that would give anything Disney has dreamed up a run for it's money.

Vietopia is a self described "Edu-tainment" center for kids.  It's basically a miniature city where kids can earn money doing various jobs/careers and then spend money in other parts of the city.  Each area provides the kids with a 30 minute lesson and it was a great way for Owen to be around kids his own age while at the same time giving him a crash course in learning and being taught to do things is both English and Vietnamese.

May have overdone it a bit on the pics but this place is hard to describe so I'm hoping the pics do that for me.
